We present our recent progress in development of two novel coronagraphs; an eightoctant phase-mask (8OPM) coronagraph and a tandem common-path achromatic interferocoronagraph (TCP-AIC). These methods have fourth-order responses to tip-tilt errors, and can realize deep stellar suppression for partially resolved stars. We report principles, numerical simulations and laboratory demonstrations of the proposed methods.
