Scientific paper

The paper attempts to interrelate complex group X-ray events with microwave burst phenomena using Prognoz-2 data for 2 and 11 August 1972. It is found that particle acceleration (associated with hard bremsstrahlung X-rays from energetic electrons and synchrotron radio emission stimulated by these same electrons) occurs in definite spatial regions at the moment of formation of plasma turbulence. The particle acceleration has often a group nature and is stimulated by a disturbance propagating in the solar atmosphere, associated with the formation of shock waves (involving Type II bursts) and eruptive prominences.
