Scientific paper

An orientation concept has been developed for the X-ray balloon experiment of the Tuebingen Astronomical Institute which is based on the use of two units: a microprocessor and a CCD 202 star sensor. This work describes the balloon experiment, the integrated orientation-control concept, and the semiconductor sensor. System software and hardware are discussed in detail and a test of the orientation concept is described.
