We developed a sun-sensor for the balloon mission to observe solar flare hard X-ray spectra using CdTe detectors. The sensor utilizes a position-sensitive detector (PSD) with a pinhole, and has 60 degrees × 60 degrees field-of-view with a 1 degree resolution. The sun-sensor operated nominally during the two flights. We report the design, ground calibration, and flight performance.
