Results are reported for a mathematical experiment that was performed to study the feasibility of determining the parameters of radio meteors on the basis of echo-signal amplitude-time characteristics (ATC's) that lack diffraction fluctuations. Experimental data on 16 such ATC's are analyzed, and an average braking coefficient of 44.45 km/sec per sec is obtained. The results show that an optimized method makes it possible to determine the main parameters of radio meteors from ATC's without diffraction fluctuations. It is concluded that such ATC's may be a consequence of the breakup of meteoroids.
