A parallel processing technique is used to develop an algorithm for solving the inverse problem involving the radio sounding of the ionosphere, with measurement of oblique-sounding ionograms at the end of the path and the frequency characteristics of the group path. A continuous two-dimensional structure of the electron density is determined in the form of a piecewise-linear approximation of the plasma-frequency isolines.
