The paper examines the feasibility of using relative-motion invariants to determine the systematic error of range measurement in spacecraft rendezvous control. Particular attention is given to the determination of a systematic error that significantly exceeds random errors possible in the case of correctly functioning instruments. The effectiveness of two different invariants is examined and compared.
