A procedure is developed to determine the single-scattering albedo from
polarization measure- ments of the angle-dependent intensity at two
locations within, or on the boundaries of, a homogeneous finite
atmosphere which scatters radiation according to Rayleighs law with true
absorption. The density of the atmosphere need not be known
