A Salyut-6 experiment involving the determination of refraction angles and the corresponding perigee heights of the line of sight by means of photographic astrometry according to 'setting' stars is described. The findings make it possible to assess the degree of agreement of experimental data and calculation results on the relationship between the refraction angles and perigee heights. It is shown that the derived relationships can be described well by a simplified formula, the deviations of experimentally determined heights from calculated ones not exceeding 0.5-0.55 km in the refraction angle range of 100-1000 arcsec.
