Pleiades: Proper Motions
Scientific paper
A research was made for the accuracy of the authors' determined proper motions of 344 stars in the Pleiades. According to two independent estimations the standard errors of these proper motions is comparable with that of Hertzsprung's proper motions for stars of m ≤ 14 and better than that of Eichhorn's. An analysis indicates that the errors originate mainly from measurements and less from the proper motions of reference stars.
