The integral statistical method for determining the passive rotational motion of the orbital stations Salyut-6 and -7 from solar and magnetic sensor data, which is based on universal mathematical models, has been adapted, with slight changes, for solving similar problems in the case of the Mir station. Here, results obtained with this approach and changes necessitated by the special features of the Mir orientation control system are discussed. In particular, under normal operation, the passive motion of the station can be determined from magnetometer data alone, with a certain reduction in accuracy.
