CESR is scanning the Υ (1S), Υ (2S) and Υ (3S) resonances. From the scan data, observed in the CLEO detector, we will determine the energy-integrated hadronic cross section of each peak, which is proportional to the electronic width of the resonance. The data samples, about 100 pb-1 at each peak, are a factor of 10 to 50 times larger than those of previous scans and should lead to precisions on the electronic widths of a few percent. These measurements offer a precise check of lattice QCD calculations.
