A new method is proposed for the determination of effective temperatures, which is based on the linear relationship between the slope of the spectrum in the Balmer continuum and the effective temperatures for B, A, and F stars of luminosity classes III V. Comparison of the effective temperatures found by this method and those found by other authors shows no systematic differences in the stellar temperatures.
