We use the radio-IR flux correlation for star forming galaxies in the local universe to derive their contribution to the cosmic radio background (CRB). The CRB from these galaxies is therefore determined by the evolution of the comoving infrared luminosity density with redshift, which is constrained by galaxy number counts at various infrared wavelengths, and by the cosmic infrared background.
