The physical parameters of radio jets studied by the Very Large Array are discussed. The values determined do not differ from previous data on other sources by more than an order of magnitude. Jets appear to possess a narrow range of values of physical parameters, only slightly depending on the power of the central powerhouse. Uncertainties are still present, but increasing confidence in the parameters to which theories apply is expressed. The importance of studying complete samples by this method is crucial for understanding the intimate physics of jets.
