The paper describes the application of an interactive system (DISPO) for calculating the analysis of ephemeris data on the position and motion of celestial bodies with respect to observing points on or near the earth surface. The results are given in tabular form as well as in computer-graphic form. The system was used to analyze observation characteristics for Halley's Comet in preparation for its return in 1986.
