As part of a study of the radiative properties of atomic energy levels
in neutral gallium and indium, a pulsed laser experiment was conducted
to determine the lifetimes of the gallium 5p2 P and the indium 6p2 P
states. The measurements indicate Ga I: tau(5p2 P) = 50 + or - 5 nsec,
and In I: tau(6p2 P) = 55 + or - 4 nsec.
