During the annular solar eclipse of Sept. 23, 1987 Baily beads were observed at two locations near both southern and northern edges of the path. The observations were analysed to identify the features of the lunar profile which gave rise to the beads observed. They were then reduced to derive the corrections to the ecliptic longitude and latitude of the Sun and to the standard solar radius. The corrections obtained are: Δr = -0″11±0″03 m.e., Δl = +0″57±0″09 m.e., Δb = +0″02±0″02 m.e.
