Neutral Co is of ever increasing interest for studies of the interstellar medium. Branching fractions in Co I have been measured from three upper levels near 40,000 cm-1. Using a 1024 pixel Princeton Instruments photodiode array and a 2-meter McPherson spectrometer with a 2,400 grove per mm grating, increased the resolution beyond previous measurements. Initial data produced two well-supported branching fractions, leaving the third level for additional research. This undetermined result is due to an abnormal growth of the third ratio with respect to current. Future studies are expected to resolve this discrepancy and to focus on other elements of astrophysical interest.
