Finding more redshifted atomic and molecular absorption systems is important to test whether fundamental physical constants have changed with cosmic time, and to study the physical properties of cold molecular clouds as a function of redshift. So far there are five known redshifted molecular absorbers (H2 absorbers in DLAs not included) and only one new one has been identified in the past decade. Using a unique selection process, our group has found two new redshifted HI 21cm absorbers in the past year. It is well known that the host galaxies of radio-loud AGN are mostly elliptical galaxies. We have selected a sample of 82 rare strong radio sources which show late-type morphology and have flux greater than 300 mJy at 1.4 GHz using the SDSS and FIRST surveys. Therefore there is a good chance to detect radio-wavelength absorption against the strong continuum radiation from these gaseous non-elliptical galaxies. Using the Green Bank Telescope, we have searched for HI 21 cm absorption in a dozen source so far and made two detections: B2 0917+27B at z=0.207 and PKS 1355+01 at z=0.795.
