The observation of the very blue star HD 269665 in the LMC is reported.
At 1640 A the star has m(1640) = 5.0 m + or - 0.1 m, m(1640) - V = - 6.2
m. The color may be due to a variability of the star which is
characteristic of stars of the Of or Be type. It is also possible that
the star was detected in the act of flaring.
