The effect of MHD waves on the characteristics of radio waves during the occultation studies of the circumsolar plasma is analyzed theoretically. It is shown that plasma inhomogeneities due to the interaction between Alfven and magnetoacoustic waves have a specific effect on the time spectrum of amplitude fluctuations and on the correlation function of frequency fluctuations of radio waves. Results of plasma velocity determinations from measured radio wave amplitude fluctuations and from an analysis of the cross-correlation function of frequency fluctuations, determined at two different receiving stations, are examined.
