The paper reports on timing variations, which over a 2 year interval have shown large variations in the period of PSR 0820+02. It is shown that these variations are consistent with the pulsar being a member of a binary system with an orbital period of approximately 1700 days. Finally, it is reported that the corresponding mass function is about 0.023 solar masses.
