Muon-poor air showers received at Akeno have been analyzed to search for γ-rays from Cyg X-3, based on its 4.8 hr binary period. A concentration of events is seen near phase 0.6, the time of the source X-ray maximum. The probability that a uniform background can create the observed distribution is 0.2%. The time-averaged integral γ-ray flux is estimated as (1.1±0.4)×10-14cm-2s-1 for E0 ≥ 1015eV and (8.8±5.0)×10-14cm-2s-1 for E0 ≥ 6×1014eV.
