The design and performance characteristics of an experimental installation for the detection of discrete gamma quanta sources in the energy range 10 to the 12th - 10 to the 13th eV, now being constructed in Tien Shan, are examined. Estimates of the efficiency of gamma quanta detection indicate that the minimum detectable flux for energies of 10 to the 13th eV and greater will be 10 to the -13th/cm s sr, exceeding the background of primary protons and nuclei by five standard deviations.
