The spectral characteristics of two excited blobs near the giant H II region N 160 in the LMC are discussed. A CCD camera was used to obtain the B and V spectra and spectrophotometric data were acquired with the Image Dissector Scanner (IDS) at La Silla. The photometric data, nebular line and intensity data are tabulated and numerous images are provided. The results of calculations of electron temperatures and densities and elemental abundances in the blobs are reported. Consideration is given to the number of stars required to cause the observed excitations in the blobs, and the bubble structure of the N 160 D regions is attributed to the presence of a WR star. Determinations of the extinction and luminosity function of the stars in the area indicate that the H II clouds studied are very young and exhibit characteristics typical of zero age main sequence stars.
