The New Worlds Observer (NWO) is a telescope-plus-starshade mission concept with the primary science goal of detecting and characterizing Earth-like planets orbiting within the habitable zones of nearby stars. Given the constraints on inner working angle and planet-to-star contrast ratio for the NWO mission, which stars emerge as the best targets for such a search? Using completeness calculations for each star and exposure times for a variety of exo-zodiacal background levels, this poster will identify and discuss the unique characteristics of the highest priority stars in the search for Earths.
