The evaporation equation of a meteor in the atmosphere was solved numerically. From this the depth of penetration of a meteor into the atmosphere as a function of the minimum value of heat transfer in the meteor was obtained. The solution as a two-parameter family of curves was presented. This solution can be used to determine certain physical parameters of the meteor, and the way in which it ablates, by means of a method which is different from those known at present.
