Averaged values of the degree of polarization for different types of lunar surface formations were compiled from observations of all possible phases of the moon from -135 deg to 135 deg for 80 sections of its surface. For all surface features, curves of the dependence of the degree of polarization on phase angle are symmetrical about the full moon or zero phase. Positive polarization attains a maximum value at phase angles of 100-105 deg and -100 to -105 deg, and the maximum negative polarization occurs at the phase angles plus or minus 11.5 deg and plus or minus 0.5 deg with variations between 0.7-1.3 percent.
