The relationship between the large-scale structure of recurrent high-speed solar-wind streams (as observed by Prognoz-9 during 1983-1984) and the large-scale structure of the helisopheric current sheet (HCS) is investigated. The dependence of the solar wind velocity V on the angular distance lambda to the HCS is analyzed. Based on Prognoz-9 measurements, the V(lambda) relationship is approximated as V (km/s) = 410 + 305 sin squared lambda.
