Fifty-seven maser sources are analyzed in attempt to determine the dependence of the I-K color index on the period of light variation. It is shown that in maser sources, as in Mira Ceti stars, the I-K color index increases with period. In faint stars, the value of the difference between observed and calculated colors is greater than in bright stars. The growth in the observed degree of polarization of red variables of high luminosity in the direction of large values of the I-K color index and of the light-variation period can be attributed to the intrinsic polarization of these stars.
