We have finished two 10x10 arcminute NH3 (1-1) and (2-2), CCS (2-1) and HC5N (9-8) spectral-line maps towards the IC348-mm and L1448 regions in Perseus. The high sensitivity and spectral resolution of the GBT gives the opportunity to: (1) map the gas temperature structure from dense cores to their surrounding envelopes, (2) measure the thermal pressure and quantify the non-thermal contribution to the line broadening, (3) determine the line-widths from the central part of cores to the inter-core medium, and (4) measure systematic motions versus turbulence to evaluate the stability of cores. These regions already have ancillary maps through the COMPLETE project, allowing us to see density structure, chemical transitions, and differences between dust and gas temperature as diffuse gas transitions into dense cores.
