The deflections of the vertical on the nearside and farside of the moon has been computed and the mass interpretation of fifty anomalous formations carried out. The average depth of the anomalous mass centres is 362 km on the nearside and 379 km on the farside of the moon. There is nonsignificant difference in the anomalous structure of the gravity field on the farside and nearside of the moon if Ferrari's set of Stokes constants (1977) is used.
