Pankenier (2007) has responded to the critique by Keenan (2002) of
astro-historiographic chronologies of early China. The arguments of
Pankenier are assessed herein; the conclusion is that the arguments have
negligible scholarly merit. Some problems with radiocarbon dates are
also considered.
