Results concerning the rate which parallel penetrating particle events were recorded at the underground Mt. Blanc cosmic ray detection station during the years 1975 to 1977 are reported. Two spark chamber arrays each consisting of seven two-gap units of 1.5 sq m useful area were used to register muon events in which one particle triggered the scintillation counters and others crossed at least two chambers in either of the telescopes. From the distribution of the angle between tracks of the same event and of their separation distances for the 21 events registered during the approximately 6 x 10 to the 7th sec of the experiment, an integral muon energy spectrum for muons with energies greater than 1 TeV and cascade electron numbers between 10 to the 6th and 10 to the 7th is obtained. The dependence of muon number on the multiplicity of the hadronic interaction is also considered.
