Solar-Terrestrial Relations: Seismicity, Solar-Terrestrial Relations: Tidal Effects

The relation of seismicity in north-west China and three components of the Lunar and Solar tidal force has been studied. Based on the geological structure in the region of north-west China, the authors choose one of the two horizontal components of tidal force parallel to rupture strike, and the other perpendicular to it. The result that there is important relation between seismicity and the two horizontal components simultaneously is very clear, and the parallel one is more important than the perpendicular one, that 69% or more earthquakes are relate with the parallel component, 54% or more with the perpendicular one.
