A deep H-alpha survey was conducted to obtain radial velocities of the ionized gas and the structure of the southern H II regions in the Galaxy and in the Magellanic Clouds. The telescope and high-performance software are described, and the reasons for the use of a 36 cm telescope and a photon-counting camera are presented. Some early survey results are reported.
