Results are presented on UBV photometry, obtained using the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, for a single field (2.2 x 3.5 arcmin) located 3.5 arcmin from the center of the galactic globular cluster M12 (NGC 6218). The color-magnitude diagram (CMD) indicated a possible existence of a sequence of binary stars. The fundamental cluster parameters for M12 derived from the present data are E(B-V) = 0.23 + or - 0.04 and (m-M)V = 14.25 + or - 0.20. An overlay of the isochrones and the CMD yields a best-estimate age of 17 Gyr.
