Experimental data on decay properties of nuclei within the astrophysical r-process path are crucial to answer the open questions regarding the nature of the r-process sites. Recently, an experimental program to measure half-lives and probabilities for β-delayed neutron emission of r-process nuclides has been initiated at the new Coupled Cyclotron Facility at MSU. First results of such studies near N=50 will be presented and the prospect of future experiments with heavier r-process nuclides will be discussed.
