Pi1d pulsations are investigated and compared with Pi1C and PiD pulsations. It is shown that the probability of Pi1d occurrence at auroral latitudes increases with increasing magnetic activity. Data of 15-year observations of Pi1d pulsations are analyzed. It is concluded that prenoon Pi1d pulsations are excited near the equatorial edge of the daytime polar cusp, with this edge traveling toward auroral latitudes during intense magnetic disturbances.
