The article describes the 'Interkosmos-Kopernik 500' satellite, launched in the U.S.S.R. in 1973. The spacecraft contained a Polish-made radiospectrograph for reception of radio waves at frequencies of 0.44 Mc/s to 5.96 Mc/s. The radiospectrograph collected data on the spectral characteristics of solar radio bursts and ionospheric radio noises. Attention is given to procedures in the processing of radiospectrograph data into the final diagram form, and to methods of data calibration. An example of an ionospheric diagram is included.
