Data are presented from detailed photometric processing of pictures of Mars taken by Mars-3 in three spectral regions (blue, green, and red). Photometric maps of the planet's surface are constructed, and contrasts of atmospheric and surface formations are evaluated. The distribution of surface brightness along the Martian equator is measured and compared with theoretical estimates.
