The photoelectric scanning micrometer is a very important part on the Danish-Chinese Telescope at Shaanxi Astronomical Observatory. It can observe the stars close to pole and the artificial stars without moving. The hardware and the software for the data acquisition and reduction are discussed respectively. The repeatability of the micrometer is about 0″026 for observing the artificial star.
