We examine the dark matter properties of nearby elliptical galaxies, beginning with a uniformly-modeled SAURON data set. We find a bimodality of the central dark matter content between disky rotators and boxy non-rotators, and derive implications of this difference for the galaxy formation histories. We also present new planetary nebula and globular cluster kinematics data for the outer parts of ellipticals, using Keck-II+DEIMOS, WHT+PN.S, and Gemini-South+GMOS. These data confirm a massive dark halo in NGC 1407, and continue to show little evidence for dark matter in NGC 3379 and NGC 4697. Supported by FONDECYT Project 1070687.
