The effect of dark matter halo extent upon tidal disruption occurring in
parabolic encounters between identical galaxies modelled as perfect
isothermal spheres is investigated and it is found that such galaxies
are extremely resistant to the formation of tidal tails in these
interactions, independent of both halo extent and rotational velocity.
