The acceleration of the expansion of the universe, discovered by using supernovae as precision distance-redshift probes, has been further confirmed through cosmic microwave background and large scale structure measurements. The next generation Supernova/Acceleration Probe (SNAP) will determine the dark energy density and equation of state, including the physically revelatory time variation, to high precision. Complementarity with next generation data such as from Planck for the CMB, from SNAP itself for weak and strong gravitational lensing, and from KAOS for large scale structure can further improve the cosmological parameter determination. But realistic estimation requires accurate recognition and treatment of systematic errors for each probe.
