The Alfvén wave is one of the classic waves in magnetoplasma. It is an electromagnetic-hydrodynamic wave, in which the restoring force comes from the magnetic tension, while the ions provide the inertia. We have studied the propagation and dissipation of torsional Alfvén waves in an inhomogeneous cylindrical plasma taking into account the effects due to finite Larmor gyroradius.
