Using the data for the horizontal component of the geomagnetic field the amplitudes and phases for the first four harmonics in the Chapman phase law for the lunar daily variations were calculated using the Chapman-Miller method. A modified FORTRAN program was used to analyze the data. The main lunar component with a half day period, was calculated as being of about 0.7 gamma and its probable vector error is of the order of 0.2 gamma. The analysis rejects days for which the geomagnetic index is greater than 20.
