The problem of radiative transport in the magnetosphere of an X-ray
pulsar is reexamined. We have calculated the X-ray radiation emitted
from the pulsar, taking into account the details of the interaction
processes between photons and a strongly magnetized plasma, as well as
considerations of the finite dimensions of the accretion column
