We analyze formation of annihilation-cyclotron spectral features due to gamma-ray propagation through magnetized vacuum around neutron stars, taking into account collective effects in virtual electron-positron plasma which go beyond the standard rate approach of QED. We show that detection of absorption lines at the first two annihilation-cyclotron resonances provides reliable and model-independent estimate of the magnetic field strength. We identify the best observation candidates for future INTEGRAL mission. .
